Tasin is a Quranic name for boys. Chapter 27 of the Quran (known as Surat an-Naml) begins with Tasin, just like Chapter 36 begins with Yaseen and chapter 20 starts with Taha. The meaning of these words are not known, but since they are in the Quran in the beginning of Quranic chapters, people use them as names.
