Raiede is an indirect Quranic name for girls that means “leader”, “pioneer”, “ahead”, “guide”, and “gentle breeze”. It is derived from the R-W-D root (“to be ahead”, “to not hurry”, “to persuade or seduce”, “gentleness of a breeze”, “willpower”), which is used in many places in the Quran.
