Qaasem is an indirect Quranic name for boys that means “one who shares/distributes something among people”, “giver”, “generous”, “handsome”. It was the name of one of the sons of Prophet Muhammad, and from it comes one of the famous nicknames of the Prophet: Abul Qaasem (“father of Qaasem”), peace and blessings of Allah upon him and his family and companions.
