Merjaan

According to some scholars Merjaan is a “small and delicate pearl”, while others say it refers to “precious coral”, also known as “red coral” (scientific name: Corallium rubrum), which has an intensely red color and has been used in the making of jewelry for millennia. It is mentioned twice in the Quran.
