Hussain is an indirect Quranic name for boys. Hussain is a synonym of Hasan, it means “beautiful”, “handsome”, “goodly”, “gentle”, “good-mannered”, “virtuous.” However, Hussain also has the additional meaning of “high mountain”. Hussain is a common Muslim since it was the name of the grandson of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah upon him and his family and companions.
