Hariythah is an indirect Quranic name for boys and girls that means “cultivator”, “farmer” (literally “one who plows”), it also means “lion”.  Hariythah is an ancient Arabic name for boys and is a stronger form of Harith, and it is the name of many Sahaba (companions of the Prophet ﷺ), such as Hariythah ibn ar-Rabee’, Hariythah bin Badr, Hariythah ibn al-Jabir. Non-Arabs use it for girls as well. It is derived from the H6-R-TH root which is used in many places in the Quran.
