EzaĀ is an indirect Quranic name for girls that means young female gazelle. It is an ancient Arabic name that is derived from the AIN-Z-Z root (azaza, which means āit was dearā, āit was expensiveā, āit was hard to getā), and they say that young female gazelles were called this because they were extremely hard to catch by hunters.
