Ertikaa is an indirect Quranic name thatâs used mostly for both girls and boys, more common for girls. It means going higher, ascension , to become better, to evolve, to mature. It is derived from the R-Q-A root which is used in a number of places in the Quran and is the root for Ruqayya (name of Prophet Muhammadâs daughter who was also wife of Uthman ibn Affan, peace and blessings of Allah upon the Prophet and his family and companions)
