Alamat

Alamat is an indirect Quranic name for boys (used in Arabic and Urdu) that means “sign”, “symbol”, “gesture”, “emblem”, “landmark”, “insignia”. It is derived from the AIN-L-M (“to know”) root which is used in many places in the Quran.
