Aamine means ‘safe one’, someone who is protected from all that causes fear. It is the name of Prophet Muhammad’s mother (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam wa alaiha salaam). Note that the emphasis is on the A at the beginning (thus a long Aa and a quick mina), as opposed to the name Ameena where the emphasis is on the mee.
